Got great food today..very nice staff

Beer garden with a great view of the lake. Very friendly service. The food was very tasty and the price was absolutely reasonable.

We visited here Sunday 27th September 2020 after a circular walk that started and finished just a couple of hundred metres from here. This is another place that may be tricky to get to using public transport, in fact Google maps is showing no options via Moosburg or Landshut, however it is roughly equidistant between the two places at about 8-10km, and there are plenty of cycling and walking options around here for example the Isar cycle path is just one very pleasant route. Eching is a small place with a nice church and is well located by what appears to be a lake, however I think it is just where the Isar has been allowed to open up. There is a lot of wildlife here, particularly birds on this stretch of water. The Gasthaus is well located, offering up great views of the lake/river especially from the Biergarten to the side/rear. It was a lovely day and we sat outside in the sunshine, it was popular with walkers, cyclists, and families all out for the day. Food appeared to be traditional and seemed very popular. It is quite a big place, looking at the website it can seat 200 inside, I am guessing that the Biergarten even in these Covid-19 times could accommodate 75+, talking of which this was yet another place that really stuck to the Covid-a9 rules and regulations, we were impressed. Staff and service were fine, probably a little too busy so didn't really have time for chatting. The beer is from the local Landshut brewery and as I have had there beers before a few times, I know them to be good and our Hefe Weisse and Dunkel Weisse were as good as we expected, we enjoyed them. I understand that this is a hotel as well as a bar/restaurant, I suspect that it would appeal to hikers and cyclists, but for beer lovers like me it is worth popping by to try the local beers. Inside it is quite a big place, plenty of wood everywhere, but light, airy and with a modern feel. We liked it here, particularly as we were able to utilise the Biergarten quite late in the season.

We recently celebrated our wedding here! It was really wonderful and the food and service were great. But even so, we've been to dinner several times. Particularly noteworthy are the schnitzel. My personal insider tip: Schnitzel gratinated with mushrooms and cheese.

Super good service and good food. I can not say more. Perhaps, despite the bad weather, we got better service than many others did on another day. But for us it was worth five stars.

Was there for the birthday party, ate well, spent pleasant hours.

The restaurant is very nice and the food is excellent. I had fish and my boyfriend had a cordom bleu - everything was really delicious. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures because it was a feast for the eyes.

The hotel is located on a lake, but unfortunately also has the disadvantage of many mosquitos. The rooms are very modern, the bed comfortable. We had a small terrace with us, great. The evening meal in the restaurant was great, home-style cooking at reasonable prices. Delicious!

A super nice weekend in a super nice hotel with a guest house and a very nice beer garden on the lake. Food top all very nice and accommodating.

We celebrated our wedding in July at Forster am See and it was just fantastic! The food, the service and the great support in planning and preparation were amazing! The rooms are new and very nice, with a comfortable bed! Any time! Thanks to the entire team

Very nice location, right on the lake. I passed the beer garden on my bike tour. The cake is actually homemade and the staff very friendly. Price-performance is more than fair. ? Gladly again!

Were there at Schnitzeltag, so pretty unspectacular Schnitzel for 7 Euro, my girlfriend had the curry which was disappointing.

What a great place to take a deep rest!

We were there on 07/19/19 to celebrate the graduation. We decided on this place spontaneously. 1. Super tasty 2. Mega outlook you have a lot to drive, but it's worth it to us. Even the children won't get bored easily here. But see for yourself ... IT WAS FANTASTIC

Were there already at various celebrations and were always well served. Even at the schnitzel day on Wednesday you can get decent portions for the amazing price. The quality of the food is better at celebrations.

Super good location to celebrate. The equipment of the rooms is nice and technically very good. Parking is also enough. The food is fantastic and the staff well trained and swift.

Great place to enjoy some local cuisine. Try the "Kaiserschmarrn" which is made according to the prescription of the owners grandma. I really recommend this restaurant. May need to place a reservation though, because it can be quite crowdy from time to time.
